The Labrador Retriever is a strongly built, very active dog. Wide over the loins and strong and muscular hindquarters. He is easy to train and is good with children and other dogs. The Labrador Retriever is good natured, loyal and hardworking. He should never be aggressive. He makes a good gundog and domestic pet.

Spanky is the "old Man" of the bunch and is definitely the boss!

The German Shepherd Dog is a strong, agile, well muscled dog, alert and full of life. He is extremely intelligent and makes a wonderful companion, show or obedience dog. The German Shepherd is exceptionally trainable and works well as a police, guide, search, rescue dog. He is one breed that becomes truly bonded to his family and may suffer from separation anxiety when apart from his people.

Topaz is our queen. She has the energy of an 8 year old and a fierce bark.
She does not like strangers and does an excellent job of guarding us.

Topaz crossed the bridge peacefully during her late afternoon nap. Her bark begging to be played with will be missed as will her enthusiastic greetings.

The Great Pyrenees gives the distinct impression of elegance and unsurpassed beauty combined with great overall size and majesty. He has a weather resistant coat that will allows him to withstand intense cold temperatures. He needs human companionship and attention and lots of space. The Great Pyrenees will not do well with apartment dwellers. He is a pleasant, gentle breed of enormous size, extremely intelligent, loyal to his family. Queen of Sheba 10/27/2006 CKC registered Sheba is our baby. Her job is to protect our barnyard animals from predators and keep the pasture safe.. She lives in the main pasture with the does and wethers. She's already shown us what a great job she can do! Sheba is an active young dog who loves attention. Insed her pasture she is the queen. she is outgoint and in charge. Outside her pasture she is a bit more timid.


Baby Girl 6/6/2005 CKC registered We adopted Baby Girl from a farm in Norwood, GA. When we adopted her, she was expecting puppies. Different from Sheba, Baby Girl has badger markings. She is a beautiful CKC registered Great Pyrenees. She has a quieter temperment, more relaxed than Sheba. She will join Sheba in guarding our goats. Baby Girl lives with the bucks.

King Solomon 10/1/2007 AKC & CKC registered Solomon has joined Madison's Meadow as the soon to be "big man" of the guardian world. It doesn't look like it now, but he's going to be the boss around here someday. For now, he's going to learn from Sheba and Baby Girl the ins and outs of being an LGD. He comes from very strong LGD bloodlines with his dad being champion AKC in the show ring and his mother a successful guardian dog on a boer goat farm. From time to time, in the future, he will also serve to court the ladies and produce beautiful and successful LGD babies.
